The Netherlands, Het Twickel, Twickelervaart, 2018
A lovely morning in the Estate of Twickel, in the Netherlands. The river called Twickelevaart has created a perfect, romantic setting near a castle. The trees grew just on the edge of the water, creating a perfect photogenic place.
Sri Lanka, Ella, Ella Rock, 2017.
Shot from our apartment, on a very misty day.
the tree was standing at the edge of a cliff on the famous Ella Rock peak. At the right moment, when the clouds of the sky formed themselves around the slopes of the mountain, I shot the sight of only this tree.
Ukraine, Carpathians, 2017
During a rainy day we drove up a mountains, got inside the lift towards skying slopes and after having a had a nice view, glue wine and some macro shots, it was time to head back home.
During that trip I saw this black tar road, surrounded by dark forests and misty, foggy clouds crawling up the mountain.
India 2017.
I came across a lot of lakes during my Bike-journey ( Royal Enfield Himalaya) through the south of India. We drove through Kerala, Wayanad and early morning I got out to catch the sunrise over the lake. An amazing place. The lakes in India tend to be quit dead, some fish still live there but its not aloud to swim there and the trees, well the photo speaks for it self.
Ukraine, Carpathian's, 2017.
Show Yourself Ukraine! What an amazing moment somewhere in a forest when the sun decided to welcome me from behing the trees.
Bali 2017.
Just before the sunsets, the light on these lava rocks is just perfect. I used a wide-angle lens to get more of the foreground in the image, because I think the detail in these rock vegestation is really cool.
Sri Lanka, Adam's Peak, 2017.
What a climb! You can see the peak towering as high as the clouds. We did that climb the day before I made this picture of on of the small lakes in front of the peak.
Most people take the climb for religious reasons. We just did it to overcome our limits.
Nepal, Himalaya's, 2017.
Coming down the mountains after hiking 6 days was so good. But this was not our endstation, we had to go up again and hike for another 3 -4 days.
This point in our hike was at about 1800 meters and this river comes straight out of Tibet. That night we spend drinking local beer, playing cards and sleeping in a sort of warehouse.
What a great adventure!
Portugal, Vila Real.
Vila Real is a reasonable sized city, surround by mountains that are 30 min driving away from the center. Really worth going to the top of these mountains, because the Parque Natural do Alvão lies on 1000 meter high area, the vegetation is that from higher mountains, and you can find Granite stones everywhere.
What I didn't know when I was setting up my tripod and picking the best place in this windy location, was that there are actually wild wolfs walking around stil in Parque Natural do Alvão..
Nepal, Himalaya, Yala Peak 2017.
One of the places I will come back for sure is the Himalayas. What a beautiful, immense, unpopulated and natural place that is. You are sure to be humbled by the Earth's beauty here. The mountains are so high, the skies so bright and clear and the Nature just totally sucks you in the scenery.
This photo I took just after my nightscape photography, and it was around 05:30 that this purple haze was visible, just before the first sunshine would hit the mountain top of the highest mountains. ( 6km)
Nepal, Himalaya's, Langtang, 2017.
Standing here on the debris from the earthquake from 2015 in the Himalayas, is so strange. There was once a big mountain village called Langtang. This whole village has been wiped from the face of the earth since this earthquake created a landslide that was too powerful.
All that remains are the rocks from the mountains and the dead body's that have not been found underneath this rubble.
Germany, Nord Rhein Westfalen, Tecklenburg,
Driving across the hill side of Nord-Rhein-Westfalen Germany, I saw this tree in the middle of Corn fields. Really stunning composition of the lines of corn and the tree. In the back you see the hill side.
